Looking for one sharp person to join me launching a London startup - Assalamu alaikum

Assalamu alaikum everyone, Hope 2026 is treating you well, insha'Allah. I’m building DIFM (Do It For Me), a London-first managed home services platform. We’ve got a CTO already working on the product, and I’m now narrowing down strong candidates for a GTM / Ops co-founder role to work closely with me. For the past 15 years I’ve been hands-on in property maintenance and residential settings across London. I started DIFM because the market is huge but broken: pricing is confusing, fulfilment is hit-or-miss, and customers are left without clear communication when things go wrong. Many platforms don’t fail from lack of demand, they fail because the operating model falls apart once real jobs are happening. We’re close to an MVP and entering that pre-launch stage where a lot of important, unglamorous work needs doing. This is the kind of work that teaches you how startups are actually built - not theory or buzzwords, but real execution and choices under constraints. I’m looking for one switched-on person who wants to work alongside me through this phase. To set expectations: this isn’t a formal hire or corporate job. The commitment is light, flexible, and fully async so you can fit it around existing responsibilities. It’s initially unpaid since we’re pre-revenue and bootstrapped. If things prove valuable for both sides, we can formalise later - either as a paid role once revenue or funding exists, or via equity if someone takes ongoing ownership. I’m not giving a rigid list of tasks because different people bring different strengths. Some excel at research, some at outreach, some at organising, some at spotting problems early. I’d rather hear what you can do than force a title onto you. This probably isn’t right if you want something polished, guaranteed, or highly structured. It is right if you’re curious about how real businesses are built from the inside and want to be part of the decisions as something real goes live.
