List of Countries Receiving Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims' Dam Meat from Adahi, Palestine Priority
A total of 135,367 Indonesian pilgrims performed their dam through the Adahi Program in the 1447 H/2026 M Hajj season. This official Saudi government program manages the slaughter of dam and qurban animals and distributes the meat to those in need. M Afief Mundzir, Coordinator of Worship Guidance and Dam for the Indonesian Hajj Organizing Committee in Saudi Arabia, stated that this year's dam meat from Indonesian pilgrims is prioritized for the Palestinian people. This policy aligns with Indonesia's humanitarian commitment and concern for the condition of Palestinians.
Besides Palestine, the meat is distributed to countries in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Tanzania, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Chad, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Mauritania, Djibouti, Comoros, and Azerbaijan.
The Adahi Program ensures slaughter in accordance with Islamic law and health standards, as well as measured and targeted distribution. The high participation of Indonesian pilgrims shows trust in this official mechanism. Indonesia remains one of the largest contributors to Saudi Arabia's official dam program.
This policy underscores the social and humanitarian dimension of the Hajj pilgrimage, providing benefits to communities across countries.
