KPK Urged to Immediately Address Alleged Land Mafia in Cisumdawu Toll Road Project
Chairman of the Agrarian Observer Forum, Muhammad Rizky Firmansyah, has urged President Prabowo Subianto to intervene regarding the handling of a corruption report in the Rp190 billion Cisumdawu Toll Road project. Rizky believes the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) has failed to distinguish between a civil case and a criminal act of corruption allegedly involving the forgery of state documents. He highlighted that the KPK's review team is considered unprofessional in following up on public reports related to the disbursement of consignment funds.
Rizky emphasized that this case is not merely a regular dispute because there has already been a criminal verdict stating document forgery occurred. He challenged the KPK leadership and review team to engage in an open debate regarding the handling process of the alleged land mafia report. The former Head of Cilayung Village, Uyun, and Haji Dadan Setiadi Megantara have been found guilty of manipulating land documents related to the project.
However, Rizky pointed out that there are still other parties, especially individuals in the Sumedang District Court who disbursed the consignment funds to the convicted parties, who have not been touched by the law. He criticized the KPK, which is seen as using administrative and formalistic reasons in handling this case, even though the institution has extraordinary authority.
