KPK Uncovers Alleged NU Congress Funds from ATR/BPN Sting Operation
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is looking into suspected money flows intended for the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress in its investigation of a bribery case at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN). This came to light after a sting operation in the Greater Jakarta area on September 14, 2026, with cash and electronic evidence seized totaling around Rp106.3 billion.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said all the money confiscated is part of the investigation, including how it was given, who gave it, and whether it might have flowed to other parties. "Whether it stops with those named as suspects by the KPK, or whether that money will then flow to other parties," he said.
Arif Sugiyanto, a trusted aide of ATR/BPN Minister Nusron Wahid, was questioned about this allegation on October 7, 2026. He didn't give a firm answer, just said the process is still ongoing.
