Indonesian Military HQ Detains Lt. Col. Arman Over Alleged Online Gambling in Cijantung Official Residence
The Indonesian Military Headquarters has detained Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Arman, Intelligence Section Chief of Gartap 1/Jakarta, for questioning over the suspected use of an official residence in KPAD Cijantung, East Jakarta, as an online gambling operation site. The detention took place at Pomdam Jaya on Friday (October 9, 2026).
Earlier, authorities secured 11 civilians believed to be online gambling operators from the premises. Confiscated evidence includes 32 computer units, 14 mobile phones, and nine ID cards.
Brigadier General Donny Pramono, head of the Army's public relations, said the case came to light after a public tip-off on Sunday (October 4, 2026). Personnel from Kodim 0505/East Jakarta, along with local authorities, then secured the location and put up police tape.
Investigations are ongoing to dig into Lt. Col. Arman's involvement and piece together how the operation was running, based on the evidence gathered.
