How Every Breath Proves Allah’s Constant Care: A Simple Reminder for Your Heart
Assalamu Alaykum dear brothers and sisters, I study math a bit, and I want to share a small logical idea that shows Allah is with us in every split second of our lives. Some folks think life just happened once by a random accident long ago. They say, “Sure, the odds were tiny, but it only needed to happen one time. Since we’re here now, that blind luck did its job.” They act like luck doesn’t have to keep working for us to stay alive. But let’s think with basic math and common sense: Imagine your chance of staying alive each second is like flipping a coin-0.5. For 1 second: your chance is 0.5. For 2 seconds: it’s 0.5 times 0.5, which is 0.25. For just 1 minute, 60 seconds: that chance drops to almost nothing! But honestly, your real odds of surviving one second by pure luck are way, way smaller than 0.5. Why? Because there’s countless ways things could go wrong around us any moment: - Your heart might just stop. - A vein could burst inside you. - Some hidden illness could hit. - A disaster or something from the sky could fall. To stay alive for even 1 second, every single one of those endless dangers must not happen at once. By random luck, that’s basically impossible. Blind luck can’t hold the universe together moment after moment. It’s not a one-time lucky break-it’s a tiny chance that has to work every single instant. Yet we’re still here, breathing. This steady survival isn’t just endless lucky coincidences. It needs an active, ongoing Sustainer. That’s exactly what the Quran tells us. Allah doesn’t only say He created life in the past. He uses the continuous action “Yuhyi”-meaning He’s constantly, right now, giving you life in every tiny fraction of a second. He is Al-Qayyum, the One who keeps everything going. We are being kept alive this very moment, heartbeat by heartbeat, by Allah’s ongoing will. SubhanAllah. Personally, whenever I recall this simple math, it boosts my iman and fills my heart with khushu’. Next time you want to feel Allah’s closeness and mercy, try this: For a full minute, say to yourself with deep focus: I’m still alive.. I’m still alive.. I’m still alive… Do you get chills? Do tears come from realizing your Lord’s blessings are showering on you nonstop in every moment of your life?
