Hajj Quota Corruption Trial: 200 Slots Labeled BIN Uncovered

The trial for the alleged corruption in additional hajj quotas for 2023-2024 revealed an allocation of 200 slots labeled 'BIN' in the quota distribution estimation notes. This fact came to light when KPK prosecutors examined documents from the laptop of former Ministry of Religious Affairs honorary staffer Ridwan Kurniawan at the Jakarta Central Corruption Court on Tuesday (9/8). Ridwan admitted to typing up those notes under the direction of Abdul Muhyi, former Head of the Special Hajj Registration Section. Besides BIN, the notes also included allocations for Subdit (1,500), Rizky Visa (500), Maktour (1,000), DPR (200), Para Gus (200), and NU (1,900). The judge and prosecutors confirmed that 'BIN' refers to the State Intelligence Agency. Ridwan said he simply wrote what he was told.
