Gerindra Faction in Jember Appreciates Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Bylaw: A Strategic and Historic Step
The Gerindra Party faction in the Jember Regency DPRD has welcomed the ratification of the Regional Regulation (Perda) on Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah. This regulation is seen as a proud moment and a new chapter for religious education in Jember, the regency with the highest number of Islamic boarding schools in East Java. Gerindra stressed that this bylaw provides official recognition, legal certainty, and real support from the local government.
Spokesperson for the Gerindra faction Ardi Pujo Prabowo stated that Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah has so far grown independently in the community, and this bylaw is a form of state presence. The Gerindra faction considers Madin Takmiliyah an important pillar in building morals, faith, and piety among the younger generation, as well as a complement to the national education system.
The Gerindra faction highlighted four positive aspects in this regulation, including the recognition of clear educational levels (Ula, Wustha, Ulya, up to Al Jami'ah), local government facilities, cross-sector collaboration, and broad public participation. In addition to the Madin bylaw, a package of regulations consisting of five draft bylaws has gone through thorough harmonization and substantial public participation.
These bylaws, including the Madin Takmiliyah bylaw, are a concrete answer to the urgent needs of the Jember community in the areas of environment, economy, health, and religious education.
