Faith and Politics: How Do You Find Peace?
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, dear brothers and sisters. I'm reaching out because I'm struggling, and maybe some of you have been through this too. Since witnessing the ongoing tragedy in Gaza, I've found it harder to balance my political concerns with my trust in Allah. It's been weighing on my heart. This is not about pointing fingers at any group. But honestly, it hurts deeply to see such suffering unfold for so long, while millions of us in the Muslim community watch, feeling powerless. How can we stay strong in our deen when the world seems so unjust? I know our iman is our anchor, and alhamdulillah, that doesn't have to break. But sometimes I wonder: what does it mean to be part of a global Muslim family if we witness our brothers and sisters in pain, and then see leaders among us acting like everything is normal with those causing the harm? How do you personally keep that separation between what happens in the world and your faith-or maybe even make them work together?
