Engine Trouble, Kahuripan Train Heading to Blitar Delayed 40 Minutes
The Kahuripan Train on the Kiaracondong–Blitar route ended up delayed because of an engine issue at Rewulu Station, Regional Operations 6 Yogyakarta, on Monday (10/26). The train that was supposed to arrive on time is now expected to show up at 12:45, about 40 minutes late.
KAI's Public Relations Manager for Regional Operations 7 Madiun, Tohari, mentioned the problem happened around 6:15 AM on the ground power system of locomotive CC2030201. PT KAI quickly swapped out the locomotive for CC2017802 at Rewulu Station. After inspections were done, the Kahuripan Train kept going at 7:15 AM with an initial delay of 63 minutes.
Tohari apologized for the inconvenience and stressed that fixing the issue prioritized passenger safety. As of 10:49 AM, the train was at Nganjuk Station with a 43-minute delay. KAI is asking those picking people up at Blitar Station to adjust their timing to the latest arrival estimate.
