Easy Rewards Await on This Blessed Friday
Assalamu alaikum everyone. Another beautiful Friday is here, alhamdulillah. A perfect time to pause, even for a few minutes, and send durood on our beloved Prophet ﷺ. We all know the importance. But sometimes we forget the incredible generosity behind it. The Prophet ﷺ told us: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah sends blessings upon him tenfold." (Sahih Muslim) And in another narration, he ﷺ said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him ten times, erase ten sins from him, and raise him ten degrees in status." (Sunan an-Nasai, sahih) Just think about that. One durood. Ten blessings back. Ten sins wiped. Ten ranks higher. All for a moment of your time. While there's a weak narration about sending a thousand durood on Friday and seeing your place in Jannah, we know for sure that Friday is special for this. The Prophet ﷺ said our salawat are presented to him on this day. So even without focusing on that narration, it's clear: Friday is the day to increase our durood. **A simple way to start today** You don't need long sessions. Just set a goal-maybe 100, 500, or 1000 if you can manage. Choose a short form you're comfortable with. I like this one: Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ أَلْفَ أَلْفَ مَرَّةٍ Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa alihi alfa alfa marrah "O Allah, send Your blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his family a million times." Fit it into your day: while commuting to work, waiting in a queue, or before sleeping. You'll be amazed how quickly the numbers add up. The rewards are beyond anything we can calculate. But what truly matters is the love for the Prophet ﷺ. Sending durood is a selfless act-you're not asking for yourself-yet Allah gives you more than you gave. Try to make it a regular habit, beyond just Fridays. But today, let's push ourselves a little extra. Jumu'ah Mubarak to you and your family!
