Dayah Wakaf Barbate Holds 30-Juz Qur’an Khataman and Kitab Tasmi’
Dayah Wakaf Barbate, under the Wakaf Barbate Islamic City Foundation (YWBIC), held a 30-juz Qur’an khataman and kitab tasmi’ on October 25 and November 1, 2026, in Aceh Besar. This event was a way to show gratitude for the students’ achievements in memorizing the Qur’an and reciting kitab passages aloud.
The dayah educates 87 students from 21 districts/cities across Aceh, all coming from poor, needy, orphaned, or fatherless/motherless families. YWBIC Chairman Prof. Dr. Sofyan A. Gani, MA, stressed the foundation’s commitment to providing proper Islamic education for underprivileged children.
The MTs students’ kitab tasmi’ is set for October 25, with 21 students reciting from hadith, tawheed, and tajweed books. Then on November 1, a 30-juz khataman by an MA student from Pidie will be held, alongside the MA level kitab tasmi’.
