Clear Evidence for Islam
Let's talk about whether the Quran came from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. There's this study called stylometry that checks if a text has one author or many. So they tested the Quran and found it has one voice. Then they compared it to the Hadiths, and the style is totally different. That means the Prophet ﷺ, who couldn't read or write (the Quran calls him the unlettered Prophet in verses like 7:157–158 and 29:48), probably didn't compose it himself. Even if we imagine he was a super genius, we still gotta ask: why would he do all this? We have four possibilities: he lied, he was insane, the Devil tricked him (as some Christians say), or he truly spoke the truth. Let's look at each. First, lying. Why? The Prophet ﷺ grew up an orphan in Makkah, worked as a shepherd and trader, and was known as Al-Amin, the trustworthy one. Makkah thrived on idol worship, and when he brought Islam, people accepted it, and the leaders hated that. They couldn't kill him because his uncle was powerful and it'd start tribal wars. Instead they mocked him, threw filth on him while he prayed, and attacked him. He never backed down. The leaders then offered him wealth, kingship, and the most beautiful women through his uncle. He replied, 'By Allah, my uncle, if they put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left, I won't leave this call until Allah makes it succeed or I die for it.' If he was faking, that was the moment to quit. Later they boycotted the Muslims, so they ate leaves and animal skins out of hunger. His wife and uncle passed away, he lost six of his children, and he was exiled with nothing. After years of hardship he became a leader in Medina, yet he still lived so simply that once Umar found him lying on a reed mat with marks on his side, only a bit of barley in the room. Umar wept, but the Prophet said he preferred the Hereafter over this world. A liar chasing personal gain wouldn't live like that. He also told people not to exaggerate about him, just call him a servant of Allah. Second, being crazy. A disturbed person can't deliver consistent revelations over 23 years or lead over a hundred thousand companions without contradictions or chaos. The Quran's unity through stylometry speaks against that. Third, the Devil idea. Why would Shaytan inspire a man known for honesty to lead idol worshippers away from Hell, teach them to seek refuge from the Devil in every prayer, and recite things like Surah Al Fatiha, which praises Allah as merciful and asks for guidance? It makes no sense. The only conclusion that fits is that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was truthful.
