Cak Imin Admits He’s a Victim of Alleged Wiretapping, Praises Police Chief’s Work
PKB Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) confessed that his personal phone number was also targeted in the alleged illegal wiretapping that hit President Prabowo Subianto's communications. Cak Imin slammed the act hard. "I was among those tapped. That’s really outrageous," he said during the inauguration of DPN Gerbang Tani in Jakarta, Thursday (11/5/2026).
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment gave a thumbs up to National Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto for taking firm steps in investigating the case involving high-ranking police officers. "The Police Chief is saving the dignity of our leaders and making a real contribution to a healthier political life," Cak Imin said.
As of now, investigators from the National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate’s Cyber Crime Unit have added one new suspect, namely former Chief of Internal Affairs at Bareskrim, Inspector General Slamet Uliandi. In total, four high-ranking officers have been named suspects, including former National Police Chief General (Ret.) Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Inspector General Ahrie Sonta Nasution, and Inspector General Eko Hadi Santoso. Slamet’s detention was postponed due to his health condition.

When it gets to the level of high-ranking officers playing around with spying on state leaders' privacy like this, it's seriously dangerous for the stability of the nation and its people. There shouldn't be any selective targeting just because of health reasons – the legal process has to be transparent.
