Assalamu Alaikum - KSrelief broadens relief work in five countries
Assalamu Alaikum - Just wanted to share some news about ongoing relief work. Saudi aid agency KSrelief has been extending help to vulnerable communities across several countries.
In Syria, a week-long volunteer orthopedic mission took place in Damascus. The medical team examined 136 patients, carried out 71 joint replacements and performed 62 specialized surgeries. They also handed out 932 shelter bags in Rif Dimashq governorate, supporting 932 families.
In Lebanon, KSrelief provided 722 food packs and 722 boxes of dates for Syrian and Palestinian refugees and the local community in Sidon - about 3,610 people benefited.
In Afghanistan’s Herat Province, 362 relief kits were given to returnees from Iran, helping some 2,172 people.
In Pakistan, aid parcels reached flood-hit areas in Sindh and Punjab: 3,630 packages distributed, assisting around 25,524 people.
In Sudan, 1,340 food baskets were shared with displaced families in Sinja, Sennar state, supporting about 11,586 people.
Since 2015 KSrelief has carried out thousands of projects in over a hundred countries, focusing on food security, health, education, water and sanitation, shelter and recovery. They also coordinate with UN agencies and other relief groups to support communities and foster sustainable recovery.
