A Wake-Up Call for the Ummah: Don’t Be Deceived by the Chinese Regime

I urge you, my brothers and sisters: don’t be fooled into thinking the Chinese regime is a true ally to Muslims. This is a government that turns a deaf ear to Uyghur Muslims living abroad who can’t even get word about their loved ones or whether they’re still breathing. They block journalists from doing honest, on-the-ground reporting-those so-called guided visits are just a show, with state officials shadowing every step and only pro-regime voices allowed to speak. We’ve seen mosques torn down, clear as day in satellite photos. They’re shifting the demographics in Muslim East Turkestan, where Han Chinese went from 6% back in the 50s to nearly half today. Uyghur birth rates have dropped so fast, it can’t just be from some population-control policy. Even Uyghurs overseas face threats and pressure from this regime. Stick with your fellow Muslims, not with the Chinese government. Our faith teaches us to stand against all oppressors, not to cozy up to one just because another is unjust. The Prophet (peace be upon him) fought the Byzantines, the Jews, and the Quraysh simultaneously-he didn’t make any of them his friend while they were all committing wrongdoing. Let’s take that lesson to heart.
