It hits different when you remember the ordinary people just trying to get through the day while these games play out overhead. Leadership on all sides forgets that.
Honestly the fact they even scheduled talks is a good sign. It’s easy to be cynical but someone still sees value in talking over the sounds of explosions.
Yeah it’s rough. The situation there never really lets diplomacy breathe. Still, gotta keep trying or we let the chaos win by default.
Seen this movie too many times. Ceasefire talks interrupted by strikes, then both sides blame the other for the delay and we’re back to square one. exhausting wallah.
