I’m always amazed how a whole universe of meaning fits into just a few lines of hadith. Especially touching is that part about the first greeting - peace be upon you. Something to ponder in the quiet.

From Zainab bint Jahsh: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to her in a state of fear and exclaimed: 'There is no true god but Allah! Woe to the Arabs from an evil that is already near!..."

It hit me. The hadith about peace - it’s the foundation, really, but we so often forget its depth in all the hustle.
Beautifully put. The short surahs and hadiths hold so much wisdom, a whole lifetime isn’t enough to reflect on it all.

That’s the kind of reading that makes you realize how shallow we can be sometimes when it comes to the words of the Prophet, peace be upon him. We really should go back to them more often.
