80th Bhayangkara Day, Gresik Police Hold Religious Service at 4 Places of Worship and Distribute Hundreds of Social Assistance Packages
Welcoming the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, Gresik Police held social service and interfaith religious service at four places of worship on Friday (12/6). This activity is a form of concern and an effort to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community. Gresik Police personnel along with Police Academy Cadets Batch 58 worked together to clean the environment of the places of worship and distribute social assistance.
The four places of worship were Maulana Malik Ibrahim Grand Mosque, Gresik Indonesian Christian Church (GKI), Kim Hin Kiong TITD Temple, and Kerta Bumi Temple. At each location, officers cleaned the yards, worship areas, and supporting facilities. Gresik Police also distributed 50 social assistance packages at each location, containing 5 kg of rice, cooking oil, sugar, tea, instant noodles, coffee, and other necessities like cookies, syrup, and sauce.
Gresik Police Chief AKBP Ramadhan Nasution said this activity is part of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary series and a form of gratitude to the community. "We hope to provide tangible benefits and strengthen the bond between the police and citizens regardless of differences," he said. This spirit of togetherness is considered important to maintain unity amidst diversity.
The activity received positive responses from the place of worship administrators and residents. They appreciated the steps that strengthen tolerance and harmony among religious communities, and hoped similar activities continue to bring a humane police force that is close to the community.
