40 Islamic Organizations Report Abu Janda, Grace Natalie, and Ade Armando to Bareskrim
An alliance of 40 Islamic community organizations reported Permadi Arya (Abu Janda), PSI politician Grace Natalie, and Ade Armando to the Bareskrim of the Indonesian National Police on Monday, May 4, 2026. The report is related to alleged incitement, provocation, and framing on social media regarding sermons by Indonesia's 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK).
Media and political researcher Buni Yani expressed a hope that this report will be processed professionally. "Abu Janda has long been a target of the Muslim community," said Buni Yani, quoted on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He added that the three should face legal proceedings.
The actions of the three are suspected of violating Article 28 paragraph (2) and Article 32 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law, as well as Articles 243 and 247 of the Criminal Code. This report follows previous allegations related to blasphemy and hate speech by Abu Janda, particularly concerning the narrative of 'arrogant Islam'.
