12 Aceh Pilgrims Pass Away in the Holy Land

BANDA ACEH – A total of 12 pilgrims from the Banda Aceh Embarkation (BTJ) died in the Holy Land during the 1447 H/2026 M Hajj season. The head of the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee, Drs. H. Arijal, M.Si., said that as of Thursday (6/18/2026), these pilgrims, who came from various parts of Aceh, passed away due to health issues like heart attacks, respiratory failure, and chronic illnesses, and they've been buried in Saudi Arabia. The Aceh Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. "May Allah accept their acts of worship, forgive their sins, and grant them the best place by His side," Arijal said. The committee also urged families to be patient and sincere, keeping in mind that passing while on Hajj is a noble aspiration for every Muslim.
